Al‑Anon’s slogans have developed through the years and have grown along with the fellowship. In the development of How Al‑Anon Works for Families & Friends of Alcoholics (B-32), a discussion regarding slogans resulted in concurrence that they evolve from common usage, not Conference action. While members have been known to use a wide variety of different sayings, they often differ greatly from region to region. They are not considered to be Al‑Anon slogans unless they are used throughout the entire fellowship, which often happens over time.
