SUMMARY:NJ 44th Annual Al-Anon/Alateen Convention with AA participation
DESCRIPTION:RECONNECT with JAL-CON 2019!\nOur theme this year reminds us that reconnecting to ourselves\, our loved ones\, our groups\, and our larger Al-Anon community is the very nature of the program we love so much. \nThis year we’re offering an exciting new mix of topic meetings\, workshops\, panels and activities. There will be a media room where you can view Lois’s Story and The Pioneers films\, as well as a presentation on Alateen outreach.  We will be having a panel discussion for the Parents and Grandparents of Alcoholics\, as well as two Writing Workshops to help the WSO gather articles for the Forum and for a new Daily Reader.  A skit is planned\, as well as a raffle like the one that was so successful last year. We will also have literature for sale.  There will be 3 terrific speakers after dinner\, and yes\, we are bringing back the Trivia Game! \nIf you register before October 11th\, 2019\, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase a buffet lunch ($13) and dinner ($17)\, along with the early registration fee of $30\, for a total of $60.00. A registration form is available on the NJ Al-Anon Assembly website. \n(Please note: Meals are pre-ordered so anyone who is registering on the day of the convention will have to pay a registration fee of $35.00 but will need to provide their own food.) \nThe Annual Business Meeting for Jal-Con Representatives will take place at 1:00-1:50 PM.
